PIRU – PRS Regional Match

PRS REGIONAL MATCHES are part of the national Precision Rifle Series league. These are 1-day matches. The SoCal region is part of the Southwest Region in PRS which includes California, Arizona, and Nevada. There are matches in SoCal, NorCal, Phoenix, and soon in Las Vegas. Our Precision Rifle matches will consist of 6 to 8 stages with challenging targets from 200 to 700 yards. The round count is will be around 90.

8 stages with yardages ranging from 200 to 1100 yards.
Most stages will be between 10-12 rounds, shooting from various barricades and positions. Be prepared with at least 100 rounds for the match and more for zero check or reshoots.
The shooting is from “flat range” conditions (but ground is uneven) up valleys and hills to the targets. Although in beautiful Southern California, the weather can vary widely, so be prepared for cold or warm conditions, wet or dry.
No steel core ammunition will be allowed.

Equipment
You will need a rifle with an optic that will allow you to locate and engage targets, and any other shooting gear you like to use. Rangefinders, spotting scopes, binoculars, shooting rests are all acceptable.
Divisions are either Semi-Auto or Manually Operated Rifle.

Safety Requirements:
All long guns must have a safety/chamber flag installed when not on the line.
All long guns must be bagged or cased when transported between your car to the stages as well as between stages

Stages are at Bay 30 and can be at the Public Range for 900 to 1060 yards.
